So i’ve played a lot of Motorstorm today and let me tell you guys this. This game is that CRACK!!!!
I’m telling you, all those fears we had before, throw them out of the window because this game delivers.
It’s a definate Motorstorm game, it just has that unique feel to it.
Graphics are fantastic, honestly, the amount of stuff going on on-screen with no noticeable dips in framerate is quite astonishing. Obviously you got the other vehicles on the road that you are racing against, but then you also get the gangs that never left the city and the streets are full of them, getting mowed down left right and centre. Then you have the fires and buildings collapsing all around you. I wish I could see this shit is 3D because I bet it looks absolutely amazing.
I’ve played with about 90% of the vehicles and they all handle really well.
The mini story that goes with the single player mode is really not a big issue, Infact there are some pretty funny moments.
I’ve not tried out the online yet but hopefully will tonight.
Biggest issue I have with it is that it doesn’t seem to be that long. I’ve probably put about an hour and a half total playtime into the single player and I’m already at around 45% complete, so I don’t think this one is going to be as long as Pacific Rift.
Seriously though guys, definate must buy!!!

Sorry If the quality isn’t that great on these videos guys, I changed the bitrate a few days ago and I forgot to switch it back to best when I recorded these.
So I tried out the online this morning, and it seems a lot better than Pacific Rift, Matchmaking is a lot better, and the netcode seems really good.
The betting system is a welcome addition. Basically at the beginning of each race you bet on one person that you believe you can beat. If you want to go against the best of the best then it’s going to cost you more chips than it would if you bet against someone who is continuously finishing in last place.
Then during the race the HUD keeps track of your rivals position, so you always know either how far in front you are or how far behind you are to them.
The little quicktime events do not occur in multiplayer. I guess it’s to keep the connections stable and also not to break up the gameplay. It’s a lot of fun. I really think you guys are going to love this game.
Also, you don’t lose rank progress if you don’t finish in the top 3.
You gain the chips that you use to bet, which is also used as XP, during the race by doing such things as stunts, drifting and gaining air-time. Then everything is accumalated at the end to get your grand total of XP. It also depends where you finish, how many players you beat and made wreck etc.Twitter.com/scatigno1

Well I love using the Bikes, as I have done since the first game. They are just more fun to me, plus I love doing the stunts during a big jump.
Also the Super Mini which is a new addition is really fun too, very quick.
They have tweaked the handling of the cars this time around, and it feels like you have a lot more control over the vehicles.
It just feels better. Which is really good because the game as a whole feels a lot quicker than the last two games. You get some crazy speed.
I can’t wait for you guys to play it.
Honestly I’m not sure if you will like it more than Pacific Rift because there is a lot more going on in the environments and things that can easily put you off, but personally I think this is the best one yet. They really made an effort to bring their ‘A’ game and I think they succeeded. I really don’t know why it is currently sitting at 78 on Metacritc because I think it deserves a lot more praise then it’s actually getting.
