These fools trying to make a modern warfare style motorstorm game. Not sure im sold. it doesnt look at nice as Pacific rift graphically. They been showing the same stage since e3. I hope that’s the same stage at least…if it’s not… lolz… either way its suspect. When they gonna start showing new shit?
In the video dude says “they been pretty famous for their soundtrack” … LOL what a load of shit. :lol: geez… I hated the last soundtrack. dont know about these guys.
Ye I don’t like Motorstorm music. Let’s hope we get custom soundtracks.

This the level I got to play at the auto show yesterday. Funny thing is I almost missed it since I seen Killzone 3, LBP2 and GT5 there so I had no purpose checking it out but then I had to walk by there about an hour later and was like ohh shit Motorstorm Apocalypse was there. They had it in 3D, it look good but the 3D isnt all great and it is not yet something I would consider getting at the moment. The track was great, but confusing for me. I fucked up a few time because I didnt realize the track turned. Maybe since it tried it in FP, I usually play in TP. Majority of the track was on the rooftops but there were times when you could drive through the buildings if you wanted too. While it does feel like Motorstorm it doesnt look like this is Motorstorm it kind of has a feel of Split/Second with the builds failing down.

Playing in first person is where you went wrong. I could never play and enjoy Motorstorm from that perspective

Not sure if you guys knew but the demo is now available on the EU PS Store for everyone (no PS Plus Required), unfortunately there is only one track and 2 vehicles available, but it supports 3D, here’s my playthrough of it.

played the demo. First thing is that the pacific rift demo was shit so I dont want to judge the game based on the demo BUT
The game overall seems less sophisticated than pacific rift. The character designs, menus, and those BIG ASS quicktime and skip back to race button prompts look like they were designed for kids.
As I feared they straight jacked split second’s exploding track event / obstacle stuff and it didnt really need it but ill reserve final judgement on that. The controls seem a bit off compared to PR as well but its just a demo.
the 3d effect is SICK so ill end up buying it just for that :lol: and it does not seem bad just does not seem better than PR so far.
I’m not gonna judge it yet. Thats why I said in my video I wish they had another track to try out because even though I thought the one in the demo was ok it didn’t have any of the ‘Wow’ factor like in the Pacific Rift tracks.
It’s a definate buy for me. I want to support the series because I think it deserves it.

the tunnel section in 3D is GREAT. Actually the 3D is great overall in the demo but im not surprised as pacific 3D rift is some of the cleanest 3D out there in game form. Hoping for the best with this one but not setting myself up for disappointment.
Worst case scenario is it won’t be as good as Pacific Rift but it’s not going to be a bad game by any means. I think the online is where it’s going to stand out this time which is a good thing because it’s that which will keep us coming back to play it after the campaign is over.
