who’s seen that sherlock holmes trailer?
at one point sherlock (downey jr) was fighting in the street with a big guy topless…is that something sherlock was known for?
Just been to see the new Harry Potter.
You know what, i really enjoyed it.
Obviously it was nowhere near as good as the book with alot of stuff missing out, but i was actually able to sit back, watch the film and not cringe because of the irratating actors.
Something that has always plagued these films for me are the way the young actors have been told to speak. Right from the first film it was obvious they had gone through hours of alecution (not sure of spelling) lessons.
It’s things like this which pisses me off because it just adds to the stereotype that all english people talk like the queen, just so, and not to offend anyone here, it’s easier for the americans to understand. Thats the reason the name of the first book/film was changed from The Philosophers Stone, to The Sorcerers Stone, because it was easier for the Americans to pronounce.
Anyway, they were least irratating in this film and like i said, it was really good.4/5

Wait you read books?
Yeah scat not everyone can understand cockney. LOL But yeah I saw the movie and it was good. It had the best acting of all the potter movies just not as much action as a few of the last ones. I like the fact that the movies are getting darker and darker in tone.

Arthur is a cockney coz here’s from the london area, which is the south, but we also haveMancs = Manchester (Me)
Geordies = Newcastle (Soprano)
Scousers = Liverpoolwe all have very distinct accents.
Anyway, back on topic, i think they could have handled the last scene with Dumbledore alot better, as that is a major part of the plot which you will understand more when the last film is released, if you haven’t already read the book.

They are so much better. I don’t care what people say if they think Harry Potter is for kids, because it isn’t. There are so many adult themes tied up into those books that kids don’t even realise.
