watched lately –
Grown Ups – lame, very lame, it’s not funny, it tried very hard to be, but it isn’t, the only reason i kept it on is because salma hayek is hawt!!!
Taken – Ex-Spy guys daughter gets kidnapped, he goes to france and kills…erm everybody…and does or doesn’t rescue her in time, i won’t spoil it. it was entertaining for a man to watch (which is why i watched it lol)
Funny People – good. it’s a comedy but does actually raise a serious issue that most comics will relate to. i enjoyed it, probably one of the best films i’ve seen adam sandler in as i’m not a massive adam sandler fan.
Date Night – lame. steve carrell is getting unfunnier by the movie, this sucked, wasn’t funny, stupid story.
Mr Woodcock – lame. predictable as hell! avoid! not even any cheap laughs, unfunny! didn’t laugh once.
Cyrus – L A M E. not funny, worst film i’ve seen jonah hill in, short, hardly a story, predictable. think i laughed once, maybe.
Up In The Air – highly recommend, best acting i’ve seen from george clooney. good story, smart dialogue and some good performances all round.
Thank You For Smoking – highly recommend. Aaron Eckhart is amazing in this film, he makes the film what it is, i laughed alot. the dialogue is very very good, smart and whitty. defo check this out.

Up In The Air is a great movie. Makes you think about work life balance and puts shit in perspective. I saw it at a time when I was so over my last job. lol I been traveling for work lately so its interesting thinking about how they had to do that shit so much.
Thank you for smoking is great as well and another movie about jobs and the theme of how what you do can define you and how your value system is intertwined with what you do whether you like it or not or even recognize it.

yeah exactly, that bit in Up In The Air, where he gives a seminar about a rucksack and what u have inside it made me want to pack a bag and get the hell out! and not to mention that silver plated travel card he gets is sexy!
i think if i remember correctly it doesn’t show one person smoking in Thank You For Smoking, a nice little touch.
The Social Network – loved it, really loved it. jesse eisenberg is fantastic in it, so is andrew garfield actually. tackles issues of social behaviour very intelligently, puts forth the idea that somebody so unsocial towards others could create the biggest online social experience the internet has ever seen. great writing, loved most of the dialogue.
Cemetery Junction – was quite good, i’m a big gervais/merchant fan. they’re better at sitcoms, but in terms of a film debut (i think) it was pretty good.
The Weather Man – apart from Matchstick Men, this is the best acting i have seen from Nicholas Cage. though not much of a storyline, and towards the end it did feel like it was dragging on a tad, but definately an interesting watch. some good comedy moments too.
How To Lose Friends And Alienate People – predictable, but not too bad. some funny bits, some trying to be funny bits as well though. i’m a simon pegg fan though.
