god i wish i had the patience to wait for a 30 dollar GOTY edition eventually, instead of dropping 90 on the game and all this crap DLC, id rather have the extra case and cover art and disc for the DLC. oh well
UPDATE – Bethesda’s Vice President, Pete Hines, has responded to our request with the following email:
“We have said there will be three DLCs for Fallout 3, for PC and 360. We’ve released two, and the third, Broken Steel, is scheduled for release Tuesday, May 5th. Beyond that we have no announced plans for additional DLC.”
With the third DLC pack for Fallout 3, Broken Steel, only days away, Bethesda is likely gearing up to announce a fourth expansion to the Xbox 360 and PC versions of the critically acclaimed first-person RPG. They may have been scooped, though, by a few impatient online retailers.
Three separate retailers, eStarland, MSN Shopping, and Bountii, are showing listings for pre-ordering an expansion pack that includes Broken Steel and something called “Point Lookout” or “Point Look.” eStarland and MSN list it as “Point Look,” Bountii lists it as “Point Lookout,” which makes more sense, as it is the name of a state park in Bethesda’s home state of Delaware.
“No announced plans” doesn’t mean “no plans,” so it’s not quite a denial, more of a “no comment.” I have a strong feeling that we’ll be hearing a lot more about this next month at E3.

Well..a total of 40 dollars for all the DLC? I for one, am done now and getting rid of my Fallout 3, will wait for the GOTY to hit 30 before rebuying.

I really want to buy this i just got a feeling that we will be hearing an announcement for the Game of The Year Edition which will include all the DLC very soon.
Which will also be released on PS3. It just has to. They did it with Oblivion and before that with Marrowind on the original Xbox.

No surprise that there are problems with the new DLC
basically I got an achievement and my score did not get updated . check at Bethesda forums and people are having the same problemWar.

I’m trading this game away to avoid paying for any more DLC (its too tempting and I have to get rid of it to save money). will wait for GOTY edition.
So i bit the bullet and ended up buying Broken Steel and The Pitt today, Operation Anchorage looks the worst one so i decided against it.
Anyway i haven’t had chance to check out the DLC yet but it was great to fnally be playing the game again and listening to that wonderful music on Galaxy Radio.
Oh the DLC has already made the game crash so thats another reason i didn’t get to try it out, and now my Nan is watching repeats of The X Files lmao!!!!!

Awesome I completed the main quest in Broken Steel it was the best on yet. Gonna do some side quest that also came with Broken Steel than try to get to level 30 and put the game away for a while
Plus it seems like the might of fixed the achievement problem cause I unlocked the last quest achievement but the other 2 I got earlier still didnt show up in my Gamerscore
Plus GNR is the best radio station in any game got that shit on my iPod
