E3 10: Redman & Methodman Hit Def Jam Rapstar Stage
Walking the floor at E3 I randomly walked into a set or performances by Redman and Methodman on the Def Jam Rapstar stage area. The songs the did were all good ones including many classics. The best part was that they were raw and unsensored. Here are some more photos I took:
E3 10: Castlevania Harmony of Despair
Castlevania Harmony of Despair is a “Metroidvania” type of game. A large castle to explore, platforming and 2D action. It looks like they took a Nintendo DS Castlevania game like Portrait of Ruin and ported it in widescreen to the Xbox 360. Fans of those games will have much to enjoy here. Splatterhouse is a 3D blood heavy hack and slash beat’em up game. There was nothing about it that screamed out to me to really care or add it to my list of games to watch. E3 10: Medal of Honor Impressions
After playing Medal of Honor I can safely say it is on my day one buy list. The game is by Dice who also developed Battlefield Bad Company 2 and it shows. The shooting and movement is very akin to Battlefield Bad Company 2 but Medal of Honor seems to be a bit faster. E3 10: Kane & Lynch 2 Dog Days Impressions
Kane & Lynch 2 Dog Days does a lot of things well visually. When you take damage the visuals shift into a mode that looks like your looking at the game through a security cam recording or handicam. I was worried that after standing in line for about an hour to see the Nintendo 3DS I would be a bit jaded and shit on it but that was so not the case. What I learned from E3 this year in regards to Epic Mickey is that the screen shots released a few weeks back do not do the game justice. The playable Killzone 3 content at E3 this year included three main sections. The first is what begins as an on-rails ride on one of the ISA hovercrafts. E3 10: Spec Ops Impressions
I got a chance to see a demo run of Spec Ops. It’s a game by 2k games that is a third person shooter. The over the shoulder perspective is reminiscent of Gears of War and Resident Evil 5. E3 10: Marvel vs Capcom 3 Impressions
Marvel vs Capcom 3 looks much better in person than it does in the screenshots Capcom released a few weeks ago. It plays like Tatsunoko vs Capcom and looks as if it has a watercolor filter on the character models. You can choose a squad of three characters and there are fighting systems to choose from for each character just like in Marvel vs Capcom 2. The game is fun and over the top for sure.
Socom 4 @ E3 2010
Socom 4 is on display and playable but the Killzone 3 line around the corner from it is much longer. Granted Killzone 2 is in 3D as well and lets not forget Medal of Honor another first person shooter that looks excellent.
