Who would have ever thought that the Xbox 360 would ever gain ANY momentum in Japan but that’s exactly what we are seeing. Heres the Media Create Company console sales breakdown for last week: (Sept. 29 and Oct. 5)
Xbox 360: 8,271 units sold
Playstation 3: 7,232 units sold
Last month on September 1st Microsoft cut prices on the Xbox 360 in Japan. Xbox 360 consoles were discounted to as low as 19,800 yen ($189). Microsoft then discounted consoles in the United States 4 days later on September 5th with a $50 to $80 price cut to increase sales.
