Criterion games have just updated their websites with some great details about the upcoming free updates and paid content packs that will be available to Burnout Paradise players in two weeks or so. The February 6th update will be free and will add event restart options, visibility tweaks (easier to see at night), vehicle dynamics and control tweaks and plenty more.
The “BIG SURF ISLAND PACK” will be a paid expansion of the Burnout world said to be roughly the size of Downtown Paradise and said to contain the biggest jumps in the game.
The “PARTY PACK” will also be paid content that will allow a group of up to 8 players compete in the categories of Stunt, Speed and Skill. Stunt involves jumps and tricks. Speed features quick time trials and timed challenges. Skill includes racing through oncoming traffic and drifting your car.
