I just wanted the gangster storyline to move forward. I do see the repetitiveness though the subject matter of the cases and characters in the cases themselves are different which is the main saving grace.
I mean in any detective story it works like that so not sure what else could have been done to make it not “repetitive” and still be anywhere close to a real noir.
Crimescene > evidence > suspects > interviews > solution. Thats the way it works.
Can’t front though I do agree with szuter. The game is like playing some one in street fighter that does the same combos the whole match. And every match after that one.
from what szuter wrote, the game sounds ultra repetetive, brook seemed to agree also. i HATE repetetive games (i.e assassin’s creed 1), i get bored halfway through them.
having said that, this game comes across to me like it’s original, people have been mentioning questioning people, and interrogating people, that shit sounds cool, i might pick it up, or rent if i can sort out my free subscription (we don’t pay yooo!).
love to know what people would rate this game out of ten.
I would give it a 7 out of 10. I really want to give it an 8 but in terms of fun factor it does just get boring. Its sad because it does so much right but the structure on how you solve the cases is soooo rinse and repeat its fucked. The game has a great presentation, great music, interesting subject matter but the moment to moment things you do just gets absolutely boring. I say if you see it for $25 or less go get it.
If your someone who is limited in terms of time you have to play games then dont buy this game. Its a timesink that requires an hour at a time to get through a case. I would advise those with limited time to play other games and have more moment to moment enjoyment.
