It sure is, Blu-Ray FTW!!!!
So am I the only one picking this up this week. Hype levels are through the roof. The review embargoe is lifted tomorrow I think so I’m looking forward to seeing the scores, not the actual reviews though coz I don’t want any spoilers.
I’m just gutted it’s not out here until friday because I’m off all this week so It would have been good to have it to keep me occupied. Oh well.

It’s going to be different, which is why I’m looking forward to it. If it turns out to be this years Heavy Rain then I can’t wait. Obviously not everyone wants that because Heavy Rain didn’t appeal to everyone, but I loved it.

scat is trolling. lol dude i watched that 15 minute video on wacktaku and this game looks 100x better than heavy rain. it doesnt even look like they should be mentioned in the same sentence.
I get that LA Noir is not an action game. I wasnt mad at heavy rain only because it wasnt action. it was just lame, boring and the characters moved like robots and they made you do all sorts of tedious shit for no reason. I dont see any indication of that in LA Noir. In other words … “this years heavy rain” my ass. :lol:
well this years Heavy Rain meaning it’s a slow burning story driven game, apparently the story doesn’t actually get going until about halfway through when it all starts to come together. By all accounts Cole moves pretty awkward like we have seen in both GTA and RDR, the combat mechanics are pretty much the same, with the same type of cover system, so pretty much the stuff you had your concerns about seem to be in there, but hey, your hard earned cash, or rental as it may be, so we’ll see what your verdict is on the next podcast.

I’m not doing a podcast about it until I’ve played it too, which is possibly going to be thursday at the earliest providing my pre-order gets delivered early like they have been doing. I got it from the same place as MvC3 and PS3 version of MK, so they seem to have a good record for getting games out to customers before the actual release date. Saying that though, they do state that if an order is not delievered in time for the day of release they will credit your account with £3 so I guess they have to make sure they get there early enough lol.

I wont be back until june so wednesday or maybe thrusday is the last day this month I can.
I say thursday, if I get the game on that day, unless you want to do an episode with Szuter. I want to keep the first few hours of the game as spoiler free as possible until I play it myself, which is why I’ve only been skimming through the reviews to get to the actual gameplay details.
