Gaming has changed a lot lol.
I will admit Dead Space can be a difficult game to convince yourself to play…because it’s so fucking spooky.
The only way I’m getting through it is with cheat codes (yes, Dead Space cheat codes can be used without disabling achievements, so you can use them and still get achievements, it definatly helps you out and makes you feel a little safer on the ship.) And I’m using a guide that I found online.

The cheat codes are:
Cheat mode
Pause the game, and enter one of the following codes. If you entered the code correctly, you will hear a sound. Press Start to resume the game with the code(s) activated. Also, some codes may only be enabled once per game. Additionally, codes that have multiple tiers (for example, credits) only take effect when activated in order (lowest to highest).
Refill Stasis and Kinesis energy
Pause the game and press X, Y(2), X, Y.
Refill oxygen
Pause the game and press X(2), Y(3).
+2 Nodes
Pause the game and press Y, X(3), Y.
+5 Nodes
Pause the game and press Y, X, Y, X(2), Y, X(2), Y, X(2), Y.
+1,000 credits
Pause the game and press X(3), Y, X.
+2,000 credits
Pause the game and press X(3), Y(2).
+5,000 credits
Pause the game and press X(3), Y, X, Y.
+10,000 credits
Pause the game and press X, Y(3), X(2), Y.
