COMBAT TIPS
– All enemies telegraph their attacks. Learn to recognize these tell-tale signs and then dodge accordingly.
– To enter practice mode, on the load screen press BACK/SELECT
Dodge Offset:
you can do a combo then evade in the middle of it and continue the combo after the evade !
you have to keep the last button before the evade pressed down and it will contnue afterwards. This is called dodge offset.
While awkward at first, Dodge Offset will allow you to strike, evade, and then continue the same combo with a Wicked attack. As is the case with dodging, if you use Offset at the right moment, Witch Time will ensue.
Here are two dodge offset combo using the Sharuba (Katana):
* Triangle, Circle (hold), R2 -> Triangle
* Triangle, Triangle, Circle (hold), R2 -> Triangle
Just make it a habit to remember to hold whatever button comes before the combo ender and then tap R2 to dodge. Once the dodge animation is complete, tap the appropriate button to finish the combo. If Witch Time is activated, feel free to begin a new combo for more damage.
Damaging Flaming Angels
Flaming Angels will damage you if you try to hit them with any weapon that requires close quarters combat EXCEPT the flaming Durga on your hands, feet, or both.
Crow Teleport
Must have purchased “The Crow Within” and you can then teleport to enemies by double tapping the right bumper while in crow form.
Whip air combo:
Jump into air press AND HOLD TRIANGLE to WHIP and pull yourself towards an enemy attack then jump off them and repeat while in the air.
Alt Weapons
These allow you to have either Shotguns, Rockets, or Durgas on both your hands and feet at once. You cannot do this with the regular versions.
