Bayonetta Ultra Tips Guide

This tip guide will show you the techniques you need to unlock the hidden extras and improve your game. Bayonetta is a great game with tons of hidden extras. The developers made it a point to include tons of hidden items and areas in the disc as opposed to selling it as optional paid DLC content. This tip guide will show you how to obtain many of the hidden weapons, items, and unlockable and playable charaters in Bayonetta. Also there are some general tips for the combat system and some on how to use items to unlock others as you progress.

Witch Hearts:

Witch Hearts increase your maximum vitality.

Umbran Tears of Blood:

There are 101 total; 50 are found through Achievements/Trophies and 51 are found in the environment.

Torture attack

A torture attack is a powerful attack that uses a full magic bar to perform

END OF STAGE SCORE CRITERIA

Combo points, Time taken, and Damage received determine your coin award: Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum. A bonus is also given. All of these totals are tallied at the end of the Chapter and a trophy award is given. The trophy ranges from stone (lowest) all the way up to platinum.

Camera Speed

Set the camera speed to at least 50% for a smoother experience. The default setting is pretty slow.

Angel Attack Mini Game

There is no time limit so take your time and aim. Also you can buy multiple of the same here but not in The Gates of Hell.

Bayonetta Halo Farming Tip:

In the first Alfheim portal in mission 3, pick a bow off the ground and use the kick button to start picking off enemies. Grab a new bow when the one you’re holding breaks and repeat. Let the final enemy kill you with one hit left, and you’ll rack up between 40,000 and 70,000 halos in a matter of minutes. Repeat until you’re filthy rich

Alfheims

These battle arenas do not appear when playing in modes easier than Normal. So to get the items you must play on normal or harder.

New Game + (plus)

To play through again while keeping all of your progress (essentially New Game+) DO NOT start a New Game – simply continue from your existing game and use the Chapter Select and Difficulty options in the Chapter Submenu.

Skipping Cutscenes

As soon as the cutscene ends dodge immediately to avoid damage. Many cut scenes end with an enemy immediately attacking you.

Infinite Climax Difficulty

At the end of your hard play through you will unlock the Eternal Testimony accessory which will regenerate your magic meter, which can be very effective on the Infinite Climax difficulty, but it costs 500,000 halos.

Also since you have no witch time in infinite climax try the Evil Harvest Rosary which will stagger enemies giving you a chance to attack.
