Is Microsoft trying to do a PlayStation Home? From the look of these screen shots it looks like the 360 avatars are to get their own arcade space. Not sure how excited I am about this. To be honest I thought as a whole the avatars have been a waste of time. I suppose integrating an arcade space would help the Live community, but if it’s anything like what Sony have done with their spaces in Home, then I don’t see many of us ever using it.
The news was leaked after a consumer survey was sent out asking about what name the product should be called, with such names flying about like “Game Room,” “RetroCade,” “Classics LIVE” or “Tower of ROM.”
Also a second survey asked “which of those names would propel you to purchase the product” which hints that if these spaces are genuine they will not be entirely free.
