An update to Wipeout HD has been released and while it seems to have caused a few new bugs that may be related to some not yet having the patch its a welcome update. When the patch was first released on Friday I had issues with my PS3 freezing up on the “waiting on x” screen (lower right in pic above) before a match. That seems to have been fixed as I think it was those without the patch freezing matches.
This 1.20 update allows for additional difficulty settings in Campaign mode but more importantly (to me at least) this new update brings auto start for online matches. In the past the online tournament host would not always start the race in a timely fashion which was frustrating and Boring when you had to wait. With this new patch online races will start after a minute when the room is at least half full.
I am still loving this game and do bring us some Wipeout HD new tracks Liverpool! Chop, Chop! Thanks!
