Some of you may remember that a few months back a wrote an article about the type of Lord of thye Rings game i would like to see made.

It looks like my prayers may have been answered as Warner Bros. Interactive have announced a new Action RPG based in Tolkein’s universe, called The Lord of the Rings: War in the North.
Set for release in 2011 for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, players create their own character who will traverse Middle Earth. It will include character customisation, upgradeable skills and weapons and will also feature 3 player co-op.
I hope it is open world with loads of side quests. The last game LOTR: Conquest was a huge disappointment and hopefully this game will deliver. Check out the teaser trailer below.
