Word on the street is that Sony will be changing their PlayStation 3 pricing across the board for the holiday shopping season to the following:
– 80GB PlayStation 3: $499.99
– 40GB PlayStation 3: $399.99
– PlayStation 2: $99.99
Also remember that the 60GB PS3 with with Emotion engine is still among the best PS3 deals (until they sell out since they are no longer being produced) since it has the chipset that eliminates backwards capability problems that newer PS3’s will have. Newer PS3’s feature backwards compatibility via emulation. The 60GB PS3 is also a great deal since its easy and cheap to swap out PS3 hard drives its probably cheaper to add storage on your own.
