Namco Bandai’s version of Gears of War, entitled Quantum Theory, is close to being considered the first true Gears of War clone in my opinion. From the HUD layout, the weapon selection, the run and gun actions and even character models, uninformed gamers might think this is a sequel or spin-off of Gears of War.
