First off… these will be sold in Japan. The new PS3 CECHH00 Series Sony has just officially announced is a white(black is available also) 40 GB model without PS2 backwards compatibility or memory card reader will be sold in Japan for 39980 Yen ($341), starting November 11th 2007.
Dual shock 3 controllers which are the new ones with rumble will also be available at that time for 5,500 yen ($47).
