Netflix has officially announced that they are bringing their streaming service over to the PS3 in November of this year. I’m sure this will delight PS3 owners who have been waiting for this move.
At first PS3 owners need to request a FREE Netflix Blu-Ray disc that they will have to pop in to the system when they want to watch movies so it can take advantage on the BD-Live extras.
It is highly likely though that we will see an official Firmware update which we allow you to stream movie content without the aid of a disc. For the time being though i guess it’s just great that the PS3 is getting this service. You can request your FREE Netflix Blu-Ray Disc from http://www.netflix.com/ps3.
