I’ve always had mine vertical, and every time I’ve tried putting it horizontal I ended up with circular scratches around the bottom of my games (this happened twice). If I put it horizontal again (I want to right now with my new setup) am I risking breaking more games?

I’ve been researching since I posted the thread. And I’m seeing that more people put it horizontal. And most people say it doesn’t matter. But that there are more reported cases of RROD, and other problems when laying horizontal. But that could just be because there are more people putting it horizontal…

In the end, there are reported issues with both ways, so it all just depends on which way you think looks better, and how it fits into your setup.

Right now mine is laying horizontal and seems to be working fine. Hope I won’t have any issues (crosses fingers).

Come to think of it i’ve had the 3 red rings 3 times now and each time my 360 was in the horizontal position.

Yo the vertical is not the way to go. The Vertical cause problems to your system. It makes your system over heats, and also put the dread 360 Ring on your games.

Usually the ring occurs when you have it verticle and bump it/kick it/w.e

Mines in a Vertical position but it’s never had any problems. No room for it to be in a Horizontal position anyway :p

I personally never had any problems with mine being horizontal, I have it vertical right now because of the setup with my entertainment center, but Im suire once I get my new center Imma have it horizontal on that one

So far (about 48 hours in) I’ve had no problems. Played it all day today (for like 9 hours on Fable 2…lmao) and no over heating or anything. No scratches on disk.

I had mine verticle and my dog knocked it off a 5 foot tall dresser and it still work…lol

the amount of times my old dog (RIP) knocked off the N64 lool, everyone would screw at it loool “fuckin dog!!!” and then it would walk out upset, so u gotta go comfort it lol, dogs + gaming wires = bad!
