yeah illmatic is right you should replace the parts with official arcade parts because the stock parts WILL crap out. The stock parts are crap and there are tons of threads on the net with people complaining about madcatz parts crapping out. If you need help let me know its easy as hell. Plus with real parts its much better to execute.

So i take it you have actually got the stick i am on about.
What is it like to use. Even though you want to mod it do you find it easier to pull off moves with it how it is.
I’m not looking to get all complex about and be modding shit.
I just want a decent stick that i can use that is better than using the controller.
I mean i saw on madcatz these are going for £69.99 and i don’t mind putting the money down for one as long as i know it ain’t gonna break within a couple of weeks time.

I like the stick save for the fact that some of my buttons seem to fuck up from time to time and yes it feels easier to pull off moves I just need to adapt to using an arcade stick after all these years of playing on control pads.

^ your buttons fuck up because the parts it comes with are crap. If you dont plan to mod it dont get it. simple as that you will regret it. just get a hori stick like talon and spacebarz both have. Though even the hori parts cant compare to arcade parts but its much better than madcatz parts and they dont crap out as quick. if you wont mod then dont get the madcatz stick.

Also dont get a joystick assuming it will improve your game off the jump. it takes weeks of dedication and sticking with it to see the benefits. Initially your game will be worse but once it “clicks” you will never want to go back to pads.

My tournament edition stick is being shipped now and when I get it im going to make a dual ps3 and 360 stick that switches using one of the turbo switches on the top. LOL Ill post pics.

Thats the plan anyway. I almost have all the parts I need.

This is the one I have. Probably no where near the quality of the MadCatz ones but it improve my game cause I used to be terrible with the controller overall I say it is good enough for me

Ye i seen them ones before.
Just checked them out again on amazon and they were getting pretty good reviews. Only thing is they are being sold for £10 more than the madcatz stick.
I really don’t have a clue about these sticks at all so thats why i was looking to Brook for some good insight.
I wouldn’t mind modding a stick but i bet for the price you pay to get all the parts from different places plus all the shipping it would cost around the same price as the madcatz tournament edition fightstick anyway. Plus like what illmatic said, once you take off the cover it voids your warranty, and i don’t wanna do that and fuck the modding up lol, and that is the type of shit that always happens to me.
