Tips. Pick a character and stick with them. Learn their normals, learn their specials and learn how to execute special moves consistently.

People downplay the power of normals (*cough scat) if you over do the special moves you open yourself up to getting punished when you inevitably miss. A well placed normal can ofter times be better than a well placed special move because it open an opponent up to a combo chain that can end with a special or super.

I’ve been getting slayed by errybody online….not a win yet yo. It makes it pretty clear I need to elevate like crazy. Some opponents be spammming the heavy kick and trip tactic yo.

I would say try using Sagat. He has siimilar Tiger Uppercut traps (like Ryu’s Dragon Punch traps) and an incredible air defense. Also, an aggressive Sagat can quickly force players to Turtle (get into a defensive shell) so that you can throw and overhead attack. Remember everybody was a scrub at some time, this jus happens to be yours…

I know this is a bit off topic but I guess its still Street Fighter related. Isn’t it ironic that the ninja in the game Ninja Gaiden is named Ryu and that the ninja in the Microsoft knock-off game Ninja Blade is named Ken…things that make ya go hmmm???

Word word….it is a very curious thing indeed. But my game is improving….I actually got my 1st victories online. It’s an accomplishment in itself….it’s insane how much the cpu skill differs from human level skill. I mean i murked the pc in a vs. match at the highest difficultly…but still get my tail wooped online. What I need to do next is step my game up so I can actual get used to canceling moves into focus…b/c it seems few people have a handled on just focus canceling…..most fights I’ve been in….focus is barely used.
