Played through the first two missions of the campaign this morning.
Graphics are decent. Not amazing but an obvious step up from the last two games but unfortunately the engine still doesn’t seem able to handle everything going on onscreen. For example, the first time we had to defend a base from an enemy drop ship the framerate dropped dramatically.
It was horrible. I’m thinking that maybe it won’t be so bad if I install the game on my HDD. We’ll see.

Enemies seem to be alot stronger this time around. Even on the Normal difficulty. It’s definately easier to flank enemies rather than going in like a Power Ranger

The music is fantastic like usual, as it has always been a strong point for the series.

Menus and multiplayer are alot more fleshed out and there is just an obscene amount of things to do for those hardcore Halo players.

You are definately getting your moneys worth with this one.

So first impressions are good.
I’m not sure how long it will keep my attention. I’ll definately finish the campaign a couple of times but I still believe that as far as online multiplayer goes there are still better games out there, games I’d rather be playing.

I picked it up during lunch time at work. 3:30 am @ Meijer’s (think of it as Walmart 24 hours).

I got the Limited Edition for $70 and two 2-liters of Mountain Dew (free) with purchase of Halo: Reach.

Man, I’m pissed. Gamefly hit me with the Brook move. They shipped the game out before I canceled my 4 games to 2 games, and the game out of my Q.

apparently installing reach cuts load times by half and sometimes more.

I think we should have set it on Heroic mode. Apparently Bungie thinks its the best mode. So if you start the campaign in co-op can you still play by yourself with the same save at the same point? Does anyone know how it works?
