For a person like me. I wasn’t really a big fan of the SNK company because I couldn’t afford a NEO GEO(which was 500 (USD) back in 91 but the reason was the games was cartiges was nothing more than the Arcade game alone. No dumb it down, the full game) when it was released at the time.

SNK did the smart thing by porting their games to SNES, and the GENESIS (Mega Drive for you oversea folks), but they was dumb down. So the whole world got to play Art of Fighting, Fatal Fury, Samaurai Showdown, and World Heroes as these was the flagship games of the company. They did pretty good but it was missing alot of the same thing from the arcades. Sound and the ability to play as player 2 instead of player 1.

When the first King of Fighters, King of Fighter’s 94, was released, I was amazed. They used combined 2 fighting games from their SNK Universe and made 1 and I said 1 Great GAME. Fatal Fury and Art of Fighting. Here why I’m so geeked about this game. King of Fighters is what really like SNK, I use to play KOF (pronounce Cough), until I had no more TOKENS. (Something alot of these kids don’t know about) Here a little description on how the game was played.

King of Fighters ’94 introduces the series’ signature 3-man team system. Instead of a simple one-on-one, two round fight system, a player chooses a team of three characters, then determines the order to play them in. Each fight consists of up to 5 rounds, and each round ends when one of the two fighters is knocked out; the remaining fighter stays and faces the opponent’s next character. A fight is won when one of the two players loses the last of their three fighters. This system has remained constant throughout the series.

I do not want Trophies, Money or not even a title saying I am number "1". You can have your cheap trophies, paper titles, and dingy headbands.
