I’ve had enough crap game purchases. I have a PSP right now and am probably picking up a PS3 for Xmas which means I’m going to be broke and can’t spend money on anymore games. I’m gonna have to start renting. There’s too much coming out/up to buy so I’m thinking of signing up with gamefly. What’s the word on them? Seem like the the best of the bunch. You can buy games from them too right?

okay gamefly is like this…. if u keep the game I believe they charge to your account ……… but u get no box of the game like the original

See now other stuff I’ve read says you can use their “keep it” feature to buy whatever you’re renting (at a discount) and then they send you all the packaging and manuals for free. That’s actually one of the reasons I was gonna go with them over someone else.

Armin, there is an article about how gamefly.com works. It at the beginning of the site from somebody that have went through it.

Yeah, I read that. The review. There’s all kinds of stuff out there like that and then there’s all kinds of stuff that says gamefly’s the best one to use. There’s some guy who commented on that review and says they’re great. Talkin bout how he bought bioshock for $40 and all. That doesn’t suck. Guess I oughta just give em a try and see how it goes. That way when I finally decide what console to buy I’ll be all set up. In the meantime I can quit buying lame PSP games.

I guess you should just try the trial and see if its gets delivered fast to your address. It seems hit or miss depending on where you live.

Yeah, I’m gonna go ahead and sign on. Seems like the way to go. They’ve got two distribution centers now – one on each coast – and people say that’s helped speed things up. If can play a few games a month I’ll get my money’s worth.

So I signed up with gamefly, load up my game queue and get Manhunt II within 3 days. Awesome. I go grab my messenger bag to grab my PSP and load it up and it’s gone. Nowhere to be found. After turning the house upside down it slowly dawns on me that it must have fallen out of my bag on the train. Bye bye PSP.

Long story short, a new one is on the way. I should have it any day now. I guess the only good news here is that gamefly lets you keep games as long as you want without any penalties or late fees. That’s a good thing because I’ve been staring at this UMD for going on two weeks now.

Will report more once I actually get to start using the service. So far so good. Just need a damn system!

i have a tactic

games with replay value you buy, like NFL, smackdown, Pro Evolution, NBA, and games like that that you can’t complete

games that you can complete and then chuck to the side like halo, call of duty and other action games, i’d rent

however, XBox live changes the whole thing, as it gives every game a sense of replay value, and me personally i don’t really like playing sports games on xbox live, it’s not as fun as say halo or gears of war or something

Yeah, that’s a good strategy. I’m new to the whole gamefly thing but I figure I’ll just buy em from them when I play something I feel is worth owning. Their prices are pretty good. About 20% off retail on a lot of stuff.

I’m still working up to buying a console and am torn between the 360 and the PS3. I know there are way more games for the 360 but I feel like the PS3 is the future. I just don’t know. If I was in the money I’d just get both. Maybe Santa will help me out. I’m hoping.

Why?, they have like the same games lol if u have 2 consoles it shuld eithe rbe wii and 360 or wii and ps3
