There are 2 reasons why i am thinking of these possible changes.
One being that i actually like the site and i think it’s got the potential to really blow up over the next few weeks with all the stuff that is surrounding E3 etc.
The second being that i am really bored at the moment and with nothing to do during the day i get pissed off with waiting for people to post on the site lol.

Anyway first possible change i think is going back to how the site was before.
Meaning different forums for each console i.e PS3, 360, WII.
Or at least sub forums.
I think when people visit the site and they just see the 2 forums “Games Discussion” & “General Discussion” it could put them off abit because they might want to come and talk about a specific system or game for that system and instead of just being able to go to that forum they have to trawl through pages of threads that have been previously made or end up making a thread of their own with the possibility of it having already been made. You could argue that thats what the search tool is for, but in my experience it hasn’t been very accurate in showing me the results i was hoping for.

Second one is not actually a change but more of an addition.
I think we should have a game review page for all the latest releases. Instead of just posting links to reviews from other sites like ign and gamespot etc i think it would be better for us to do our own.
Maybe Brook could take full control of that but i understand he is busy so he could assign someone to do it, well whoever is willing and will stay on top of it.
Or going back to what i was saying before about different forums / sub forums for each system, Brook could assign 1 or 2 people to each forum to take control of the reviews. This would obviously have to be members who have a geniune interest and knowledge for the system and buy games for it on the regular.

eg:

Chauncy Talon = 360 Reviews ( well as soon as he gets a job and can afford games again lol )

Black Attack = PS3 Reviews

Brook = Wii Reviews

As i stated in a previous thread, i think we should get a group going on facebook. This will gain the site alot of exposure as whoever on this site joins it, we can invite other people off our contact list to join it aswel, or at least get them to check it out. The podcasts will be able to be posted on there so that will be good for it too
We can get one going on myspace aswel, and just plug the site wherever we can.

So theres basically a few of my ideas. Like i said i am bored as fuck at the moment but i do think the site could be alot better if it got more exposure.
Brook told me before that the site is getting alot of members and visitors but the only problem is they are not active, so i think it’s our job to give them a reason to want to get involved.

Yeah, I liked when the game systems where separate, but then again there are a lot of games that are multi-platform.

Ye i took that into consideration but then you have to think even though some games are multi platform the performance of each of them isn’t going to be the same because they are have to cater to each systems capabilities.

Eg:

You could argue that the graphics on the PS3 version of GTA IV were slightly better than the 360’s, but then also you could say that the online aspect of the game was better on the 360 because of the problems people faced with the PS3 version.

You know some people might just want to talk about a certain aspect of a game that might only affect the one system and wants to get advice from other people who are experiencing the same problem without getting the fanboys throwing in shit like ” fuck the 360″ ” fuck the PS3 “

Yeah, I agree. I think a myspace/facebook would be cool. We could probably get new members to become active on here.

I think the reviews isn’t that hard of thing to do. Just make sure we can rent the game.

shouldn’t have one person doing every 360 review

should have selected people who actually WANT to do reviews for certain games

and if more than one person wants to do a review for a game they both can and the better or preferred one by the members will be the GMX official review

Yeah, like for example, games I would like to review in the future are Tekken 6, SvR 2009, and possibly (NBA Live and Madden) for the PS3. But you would have to beat the whole game or most of it to conduct a decent review. Inserting the disc and picking up the controller doesn’t give the game 10 stars.
