So I recently downloaded that new NBA Jam: On Fire Edition for my PS3 and I have to say if you were a fan of the NBA Jam franchise in the 90’s or just a fan of the NBA period it’s a must download. It really goes back to the roots of the Jam franchise and borrows all of those elements people love so much (like getting on fire, crazy dunks, the sound effects etc.) but adds a modern twist in it’s achievement system and campaign mode allowing you to play against the entire league in bronze, sliver, and gold level matches for in game currency. You can progressively unlock players from old NBA Jams (and mascots) and play retro games (like John Starks and Patrick Ewing vs. Larry Johnson and Alonzo Mourning) or mix up the old with the new (like Derrick Rose playing with Scottie Pippen).

What also makes this game so great in my eyes is the local multiplayer. I have some friends coming to town this weekend and I’m really looking forward to running 4 player 2 on 2 ball like we used to do in the arcade. If any of you decide to download it up you wont be disappointed. For $15 it’s worth it. Hit me up and we can run a few games.

Yeah this download came out on 10/4. Talon I’m sorry to break it to you but Reggie Miller isn’t in this game (or in NBA 2K12 for that matter). I guess he hates videogames.

Fuck that. How the hell them niggas didn’t put Reggie in? They should had the Pacers when they almost beat the Lakers. Hell they have the Trailblazer when they didn’t make the NBA Finals in the game. GARBAGE!!!
