In some exciting news for HD-DVD fans, Scott Browning, one of the most experienced CE retail marketing executives in Australia, has revealed that Microsoft is preparing to launch a new Xbox 360 console featuring a built in HD-DVD drive.

“The fact that movie houses like Paramount are behind the HD-DVD format along with the like of DreamWorks is key. I believe that more content providers will get behind the format and that the likes of Microsoft who are big supporters of the HD DVD format will bring out an Xbox with a built in HD DVD player. This is a given.”

pointless in my eyes……… sure the movies will be in HDDVD where u can watch great movies…….. but the games still be on Dual Layer Disk……. which is 8.5 compare to the 30 gigs on a HDDVD………. which they won’t be makin’ games in………. just a cheaper HDDVD for the family

Im personally sick of microsoft trying to get easy money, you already have to buy ALL the accessories for the damn thing, then they come out with the bigger hard drive, now this…..they should have just come out with the bigger hard drive in the first place and the HD DVD instead of waiting till people buy one and then trying to get them to buy another one….microsoft has always been that way….just trying to get more money…like Bill Gates needs it

if I seriously wanted a HD DVD player, why would I go buy a brand new XBOx with a built in when I can just buy the external attachment or just go buy a HD DVD player for cheaper than the XBox….but you know some fools will buy it just cuz its new
