Been video-game partying for the past like 2 days with a bunch of buddies over and we were just playing Halo 3 and trying out Assassin’s Creed (one of my friends has it). Haven’t gotten the chance to get out and get it yet, probably gonna get it friday.

Think next gen knights of the old republic. The combats like a more simplified gears of war, but you have some powers. The conversation feature works really well and draws you in. It’s a pretty big game I mean there are dozens of worlds. I like the story, the voice work is well done and you really craft your character and define them through actions you pick. So far Im really into it, I just dislike the sequences where you use the mako. The controls suck there.

the whole first mission with the Mako i didnt even know i could get out of it… so i had to go back and search for the marines.

ty, have you been to any of those worlds where you kinda explore and you’re in the mako…? is there anyway out? what do you do on those worlds? i kinda drove around a bit but couldnt get anything done really

what i usually do is use the map to go to all the main points… but make sure the ‘plot’ one is last because sometimes you cant go back to the world after that… also search a bit for minerals

and it helps, for some worlds, to take someone with a good ‘technology’ skill because there are stuff they can open.

Has anybody played this?

I have heard some really really good things about it, and i’m thinking about picking it up, coz you can get it for dirt cheap now.

I watched the video review of it before on Ign and it looks good, the story and voice acting is supposed to be incredible, but it also went on to say that the game is plagued by bugs and glitches. Now these could have been ironed out from patch updates since it’s release, but i’m still not entirely sure if i want to put the money down on it.
I know the sequel is on it’s way but i want to play this one first, so let me know what you think.

i played it right after playing gears 1, and just before i played call of duty 4, tbh at that point any game would have been lackluster, and at the time it was, but i think if i played it again, i’d probably like it

so i’ve played about 3 hours of the game, and have become a Spectre, but to be honest not much has happened, apart from a whole lot of talking.
The combat is somewhat underwhelming, and the story has not really gripped me as much as i was hoping or lead to believe by every review i have read.

When i first started up the game i was surprised to find there was no updates required to download first. I mean this game is 2 years old and with everything that has been said about the technical faults with the game, i would have thought the game would have been patched to sort these out by now.

Texture pop in is horrendous.
Too many clipping issues.
Slowdown runs rampant

They should have patched this a long time ago.
I suppose i’ll carry on with it, and see if it’s gets any better.
