I had an iphone when it first came out and i hated it. Too many features were missing from it. Even though these new ones seem better i don’t think i would spend my money on one again. I wouldn’t mind buying an iTouch, just for music and game purposes, but as far as a phone goes, i don’t want one.

Missing features? Like what? Did you have to unlock yours? Maybe it was because outside the US there was no data support for some of the featuires like visual voicemail etc. I had the first ones too and the shit was great.
Well i had the phone for like 2 months and i was buzzing when i first got it, that was until i realised these few things.
No video ( even in 2008 this were more or less standard on phones )
Bluetooth? ( it had bluetooth, but i could not send or recieve anything through it, so pointless really, unless you used a bluetooth headset )
I wasn’t able to set my own songs as ringtones. I had to use the horrible default tunes on the phone.
The only way i didn’t feel stupid talking on the phone was when i used the headphones suppled, without them it just looked like i was holding a massive brick to my ear.
Maybe i got it all wrong and there were ways around this, but like i said, i had it for about 2 months and i couldn’t find anything so i just let my dad take over the contract and i ended up getting a Sony Ericsson which i liked a whole lot more.

Ok. well the iphone plays video very well… I dont use bluetooth at all so thats moot and setting your own ringtones is not easy I guess but theres a bunch of free pc apps that convert songs to ringtones for iphones. You can convert anytihng you buy in itunes now to a ringtone I think too. I have the MGS codes and mine and a bunch of otehr funny ones though I keep my shit on vibrate mostly unles Im home becasue I think that its rude to annoy people with your “favorite song” lol

I know you can watch video on it, i actually enjoyed going on youtube and that, i’m talking about recording your own video with the camera. You couldn’t do it, and they have only just introduced that with the new iPhone they have just released.
You say there is an app where you can convert your songs into iPhone ringtones, well that seems like alot of bother, where as on my Sony Ericsson i can just click options on any song i have and set it as a ringtone. Alot better, and quicker.
I suppose it’s about personal preference in what you use the phone for, other than making calls, my Sony Ericsson has a 5mp camera with video editing features, which blows the iPhones cam out of the water. It did when it first came out and it still does now.
Even putting songs on to it became time consuming, coz it had to sync up every time you added something new. Again, everything is just alot quicker with my current phone.
But ye, personal preference is what it comes down to.

I’ve been toying with the idea of jailbreaking my iPod Touch and i’ve just watched some videos about that blackra1n hack.
It looks super quick and easy, but i got my iPod insured when i bought it so if my shit bricks whilst hacking it or once it’s been hacked i doubt i will be able to get it replaced, so thats a no go for me. I do not shit money, and i do not shit iPods, i’m sure you can see where i am going with this.Whilst looking at a few vids, i came across someone who had emulators installed for the Genesis, Nes and Gameboy Advance, so i was wondering if any of you have got them installed on your iPhone/ iPod Touch? Let me know how they run because i can’t see them being very good or easy to control with a touch screen.

ok but say i drop the ipod and the screen smashes or it just won’t turn on etc, which prevents me from reverting back, i then need to send it in but they won’t once they find out it’s been jailbroke.

, and if it’s fucked and u can turn it on, just reboot it’s factory settings and it’s not hacked anymore
OK, i bit the bullet and i’ve just jailbroke my iPod Touch using that Blackra1n programme.
