So basically I have noticed that when playing games, cut scenes especially look very pixellated on my TV. Been playing inFamous 2 and it looks like shit basically whenever a cutscene kicks in. It looks Wii-ish infact.
So just wondering if anyone could give us some advice on how to sort this out.
I’m playing on a 37″ Sony Bravia. Have my TV set to “Game” mode, so not really sure what else I can do

So for most games you want to turn the sharpness all the way the fuck down or close to all the way down. Sharpness accentuates the edges and makes jaggies look jaggier lol

Also you want to turn any dynamic contrast and other image enhancements off.

So really in that HDMI mode your using and I hope your playing via HDMI :lol:
you want a picture as accurate to the original signal as possible. All the image enhancements do is induce lag because it has to process every frame. Leave the image enhancements for bluray movies and TV but never for games.

EDIT: also in your PS3 use the extended color options in display settings use YCrCb and turn superwhite on & rgb set to limited. Once you do this you will have to readjust your brightnes and contrast though but it will be worth it.

… and for 360 i think its called extended colors. That shit makes it look MUCH better but only if you ahve a newish flatscreen TV.

So turn the contrast to a nice setting and dont over do the brightness etc. and turn all that extra bullshit they added to sell you the TV off. Then your colors will be more accurate.

Actually if you want to really fix your shit after turning all the image enhancements off find your bravia model number go to this site AVS Forum and find the thread on your TV and use their recommended settings. You cant go wrong and youll find out a bunch of other shit you neevr knew about your tv as well there lol.
