…so if I download a movie from my computer, throw it on a data stick, and plug it into my xbox, it will only recognize the file if I’m hooked up to xbox live. Problem is that I’ve got 2 xboxes for 2 different tvs and only one of them is hooked up to live, despite the fact that I’ve downloaded the patch to both xboxes. Does anyone know how to download the patch so I can watch movies off of my data stick without being hooked up to live??

Best case scenario would be to have both xbox’s and computer on the same router. Then install Tversity on your computer. With this setup whatever videos or mp3’s on your computer will be accessible on your xbox 360 under audio or videos in the xbox 360 dashboard.

Edit: if you must use a usb stick you need to make sure that the files are divx or mpg. Some video files just wont work because the system cannot play video files encoded with certain codecs. Tversity converts videos on the fly so using it you are able to play just about any video.

Totally forgot about this thread. Irony is that I can go to the movies free whenever I want, but I’d rather just chill at home and watch it when it’s good for me. But thanks for the love Arthur!
