Golden Joystick nominations in
Annual UK gaming awards show lists nominees for 17 categories; Guitar Hero II, Gears of War, World of Warcraft, and GTA: Vice City Stories get multiple nods.

The list of nominees for the 25th Annual Golden Joystick Awards has been released. The awards ceremony will take place at the Park Lane Hilton hotel in London on October 26. This year’s ceremony will be hosted by David Mitchell–one half of the comedy duo Mitchell and Webb, and star of Channel 4 sitcom Peep Show.

This year, the Golden Joysticks have 17 different categories, and there have been some changes from last year. For example a new category for the BBC 1Xtra Soundtrack of the Year has been added this time round.

Titles which have been nominated across multiple categories include Guitar Hero II, with six nominations including Ultimate Game of the Year, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories with five, World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade with five, and already multi-award winning Gears of War, which also has five nominations.

man there a bunch of games that didn’t make the list and GTA should of made it or Test Drive…… Motorstorm and MMORPG shouldnt be on there either…….. I think WOW will get it cuz of the fanbase and the simpliest of the damn game…….. but Okami which is from Clover Studio(which have closed down fo ova a year now) that made Viewitful Joe should get it
