I’m honestly soooooo pissed off right now dudes it ain’t even funny.
Brook you might remember this story.Basically a couple of months ago there was an offer on Xbox Live to get one month Live for £1. I wasn’t a gold member at the time so i took advantage. Anyway, when that time period was coming to an end i tried to cancel the “month to month” subscription they AUTOMATICALLY put me on to.
I tried to cancel from the 360 dashboard and from Xbox.com and it wouldn’t give me the option to do it. I tried to cancel my bank card and delete it from the account and they wouldn’t let me.So i sent customer services an e-mail saying i would like them to cancel this subscription because i didn’t want it. I gave them my preferred contact number, which is my mobile, as i always have that with me 24/7.
Anyway, i recieved an e-mail back saying someone would be contacting me soon.2 months have now gone by. When i went to redeem my 12 month Live pre-pay card 2 days ago i kept getting an error message saying your account has been suspended due to problems with my bank details.
They would not let me redeem my code until i updated my bank details. So i did and £9.98 automatically came out of my account. Bare in mind i hadn’t fucked with my 360 since i sent them that first e-mail.
Today, i found an e-mail from Microsoft in my junk folder saying they have to tried to contact me by phone on 3 separate occassions but had no luck getting through to me. Funny because i have had no missed calls on my phone from an unknown business number. No voice-mails, no nothing. So i got on the phone to customer services today and asked why they were taking money out of my bank for a service that i hadn’t used and why they saying they tried contacting me when they obviosuly hadn’t.
The guy basically said they tried to take the money out of my account but it kept getting declined so that’s why it came out when i updated my details.
I told this guy that my Live account should have been cancelled 2 months ago when i sent the e-mail and i’ve had no contact since, and because i’ve not touched the 360 i presumed it would have been cancelled. He went on to say they can only cancel accounts over the telephone, and he doesn’t know why i never recieved these calls. I gave him my reference number and gamertag and he confirmed the e-mails that had been sent and my mobile number was correct.I said i want the money refunded because i should have been able to cancel the account myself and they got no right to keep hold of my card details against my will. He said it wasn’t possible and there is nothing he can do.
I asked to him to check my account activity and he would see that i had not used the service since that e-mail i sent. Again he said this wasn’t possible. BULLSHIT!!!!
The phone call ended with a swift “FUCK YOU, YOU ROBBING BASTARDS!!!”
Honestly this is out of order. OK, it might not be alot of money but it’s still money they have took for a service that i haven’t used and a service they suspended anyway because no money was coming out of my account.I can’t believe i went and bought a 12 month live subscription the other day. I hate myself for giving those twats my money

What funny is that you did not read the agreement. I went through this with my PSN account. Sony do not reset your account unless they receive your PS3 five times. I read everything before I sign up now. If I can’t read it, then I don’t need it. It appears that your pissed off and we will see you on the PS3 for now on. smh…
I do not want Trophies, Money or not even a title saying I am number "1". You can have your cheap trophies, paper titles, and dingy headbands. I am a "STORY" to my peers, a "LEGEND" for your kids to hear, and a "FOLKLORE" to keep you from dieing with fear - Calvin D. Kates aka Chauncy "TRU" Talon.
09/11/2010 at 4:49 pm #46635Huh? see me on the PS3, i just dropped £40 for another year of this shit. If i don’t use it then it’s just throwing money away. I can’t exactly get my money back off a pre-paid 12 month card that i have now redeemed.
What is annoying is the fact they didn’t let me cancel this shit myself in the first place. It should be up to me whether or not i want to keep paying for a service.
However, there is no option to cancel the subscription yourself without going through an advisor. You cannot even delete you bank card details because they don’t let you unless you have already got another card set up for that same live account.
I don’t understand how they get away with holding onto your card details against your will.09/11/2010 at 4:58 pm #4663609/11/2010 at 7:00 pm #46637 -
