The Sega Nomad.
I wanted one of these SO bad. (I went through a Hand held crisis…no homo just in case)
The Nomad played Genesis games, and had 6 buttons just like the controller that was then being packaged with the Genesis around the 95′ time period.
The problem was that it was REALLY power inefficient. Battery life sucked compared to the Gameboy and the rechargable battery pack was even worse…and cost $79.99. Rechargable AA’s were not recommended due to voltage issues.
In retrospect…this shit was garbage, but I think the idea was a damn good one. The execution was just poor.

This came out after the Game Gear. It cameout a little to late. 6 batteries that died with in hours. It was amazing.

This is the demise of Sega right here in a nutshell. They focused so much on releasing hardware as quickly as possible that they never gave their systems time to breath. Now look at them. They can’t even make a good Sonic game.
I actually first heard of this few ago it made the #1 on the list of the worst gaming system

Saturn was the shit, though. I could never afford one…cuz I was 12 when it came out so I always rented that shit from Blockbuster. With the X-Men CHildren Of The Atom game…I think that was the name.
