Capcom debuted a new 3-minute extended trailer of Resident Evil 5 on Thursday showing actual in-game footage and a teaser of things to come.

A Capcom spokesperson confirmed on Sony’s official PlayStation blog that selected scenes are indeed actual gameplay. Said scenes bear a striking resemblance to RE4’s popular behind the shoulder view not to mention its controls.
When asked how RE5 compared to RE4, the Capcom representative said, “We don’t want to give anything away, but let’s just say, ‘you ain’t seen nothin’ yet.’
“With the previous [E3] trailer being less than one minute long, we’re releasing the extended Resident Evil 5 trailer on the PS Store today, showcasing more jaw dropping footage which will blow away anything you’ve ever seen.”
Resident Evil 5 hits both PS3 and Xbox 360 sometime in 2008.
