So i got the game last night, well i got it for free after downloading it off my mates PSN account ( took 7 hours to download and install this shit though :mad: ) and it seriously is a great game.
Up until now my favourite driving game has been Gran Turismo, but for the sheer fun factor, Burnout Paradise reigns supreme.
It is an open world game now so you can do anything you want, you are not forced in to racing or anything like that, you can literally just cruise around the world and fuck shit up. Believe me the world is huge.
There are so many things you can do. First of all there is 75 cars you have to unlock / own. You do this by winning races etc. To gain 100% completion in this game you have to find all the short cuts, smash through all the billboardsl, find all the jumps and more. It will definately take a long time to get there. Now the trophies have given me even more of an incentive to do it because i need another platinum one, and i can only get that by earning all the other trophies in the game. Think i got about 5 or 6 up to now.
The game has just recieved it’s newest update which is the inclusion of bikes, now i haven’t tried these out yet but they look fun as hell.
I think this is an essential purchase for anyone who is a fan of fun, arcade type driving games. If you get it on PS3 then look for me and i will be happy to give you a game.

Ok so I played it yesterday and Burnout is fun. I just hate that you end up looking at the map so much and not on the street but the custom soundtrack support is nice and its fun ramming bitch ass cars off the road. :^: Burnout is growing on me. Its worth the $25!

Definately man. I played alot of driving games in my life but i have had alot of fun with this game.
I don’t mind just driving round the map and crashing into the billboards.

Ridge racer is still better man. To me at least. I am pretty far along in ridge racer and I have alot of WOW moments like yesterday when I jumped OVER 2 cars in one jump off this ramp and then drifted right between 2 cars going exactly between them to pass them. Once you hit the higher speed classes you go so fast that whet used to be smaller jumps become BIG jumps. shits crazy!

my thing is if thats the case, why isnt the following for it that of burnout or better? im considering it but im not sure and also no trophy support

BA its because Ridge Racer was a LAUNCH TITLE. It came out 2 years ago and its not even in stores anymore. You can still easily get on an online match so that should say alot right there.

This is true. I wanted Ridge Racer because of the graphics. Yea I said the graphics. When I played it I didn’t care for the driving. I didn’t know how to drift on that game. When I played Burnout after watching my girl having a blast I wanted it.

yeah man burnout is all about smashing shit which is easier to get into. If you hit a wall bad in ridge racer you probly will loose the race so that turns people off and it has a steeper learning curve but once it clicks with you its on.

I like the variety in burnout and the mode where you dodge cars trying to smash you is fun. Burnout is a good game to just play and fuck around with which is cool. Its like like a GTA car game almost.

I think it one of the best racing games ever. RR really not my type of game. I really don’t like Racing games. That drifting type shit. I’m always hitting the walls and shit.
