I played Batman Arkham Asylum at least once per day over the three days the show floor was open at E3. I gave the game multiple tries because I really wanted the game to resonate with me. Batman Arkham Asylum was a much different game than I had imagined. The game looks great. From a graphics and art style stand point Batman Arkham Asylum is hands down the best Batman game to date. Buyer beware, this is a stealth game. Think Metal Gear Solid series. The game is NOT an action beat-em-up game. Actually if you hate quick time events this game will annoy the hell out of you. Quick time events are when the button you need to press at a given moment in the game appears on the screen. Resident Evil 5 has tons of them. In Batman Arkham Asylum most actions are triggered by quick time events. This gives the game more of a strategy/rpg feel and less of the feel of an actual action game. Its not a fast paced game and there appeared to be no run and gun or fight rush in the game. Batman is usually outnumbered and if you do not plan your attack well you will be overwhelmed by the jokers goons. I would advise those interested in the game to try it before you buy it as it may not be for you.
