Ok now we’re halfway there, all that’s left is setting up video & control settings, and getting online. Ok I’m assuming all has went well up to here and your plugins are the right ones. Now from the emulator main screen, in the main menu bar go to Options -> Video Settings. Now all you have to do is set everything to exactly how you see it here:
Now input is a little trickier. For shooting games like GoldenEye & Perfect Dark if you choose to use mouse and keyboard like I do, there is a easy way to set it up so that you move forward/backward and left and right with W, A, S, D, fire with the Left Mouse Button, Aim with the Right Mouse Button, reload/open doors with R/Space bar, and change weapons with scroll wheel up/middle mouse button. Just go to Options -> Input Settings, and if you selected DarkMan’s DInput 4.0b in Plugin settings, then you should see this. pic
Now what you want to do is select the Goldeneye 007 profile from the Profile drop-down menu. You will then see the following screen.
Everything is basically set up for you from the get go but what you might want to change is your look sensitivity on the right, select vertical look & targeting invert if you play like that, and add a key to “Next Weapon”. Just click where it says “none” and hit “R”. Then to change “Use”, click where it says “E” and press your middle mouse button, or the scroll wheel up. That’s pretty much it, if you want to have reload in space bar or somewhere else then just go to Profile Editor in the lower left corner and select GoldenEye 007 to edit the profile more in depth, here’s a pic of what to do and where to do it. pic here
