Comcast Giving Away Free Wii’s To New Subscribers

This morning during a Today Show commercial break I saw a new Comcast commercial announcing a new promotion where new “Triple Play” subscribers can get a free Nintendo Wii when they sign up. The commercial featured a man with a Wii Wheel driving an imaginary kart sort of skidding on his ass like Mario and Luigi do during the Mario Kart Wii intro. I wondered (and still do) about where Comcast planned to get the Wii consoles since Wii’s are still sold out everywhere.

First Comcast attacks torrent downloaders, now an assault on “core” gamers. Whats next? I kidd, I kidd. Free Wii’s will expand the game market with more game consoles in homes. Right?
