So i got the game today and ‘ve played it for about 2 hours straight, and it seems decent.
The island seems huge with a lot to see and do.
I do have a couple of issues with it already though.
Firstly, the camera angles whilst riding the bikes are fucking ridiculous, i mean the camera tilts onto it’s side whenever you begin to turn the bike. It’s nauseating and disorientating as fuck, which is a damn shame really because the bikes would have been my prefered method of transport.
Also the checkpoint system is fucked, i mean honestly, after the first couple of missions where you have to rescue the blain guy and he’s driving you to his “crib” whilst you have to take out all the dudes that surround you, you begin at his house.
I grabbed his car and thought fuck this and headed into the snowy mountains, i wasn’t on a particular mission here it was just free roam stuff, anyway i came across a random enemy stronghold up in the mountains, so i blew everything up but then got shot up as i was making my escape and ended up dying. So instead of respawing me at this stronghold or any of the other 12 locations i found along the way, it put me right back at Blaines house. All my progress had been saved but i was miles away from where i wanted to be.
Has this been a concern to anyone else because i know that if it continues on like this then i’m gonna get bored quickly, coz it feels like what we were saying about GTA IV on the podcast last night.
Other than that though the game is just about mindless chaos so it should potentially keep me busy for quite a while.
