New PS3 firmware is now live.
In addition to readying the system for PS Plus they have also added a video edit and upload feature which allows you to change and add features to any videos you have on your system. These can then be uploaded to YouTube. A great feature until you realise it can only output video at 480p 
but even still, a nice feature to have.
Facebook has also been more integrated but I have not had chance to check this out yet.
Sadly there is still no sign of cross game chat.
