It was a disappointing result for England for sure but there performance was still good overall.
The key thing in the first game is to not lose. That might sound obvious but alot of teams, even in tournaments will play for a draw, it’s alot easier to bounce back after gaining 1 point for a draw instead of losing all 3, because then you are playing catch up and fate isn’t in your own hands.
I feel bad for Rob Green, that would have knocked his confidence a hell of alot but I’m sure he’ll pick himself back up, unless Capello goes with a different keeper.
