Take Mary J Bkige for example.
At one time she was the undisputed Queen of Hip-Hop/ Soul, but I’ve just watched her performance of her new single ‘I Am’ on one of the chat shows we got over here and it just sounded like the same old generic poppy bullshit you hear on the radio all day.
Seriously man. Mary has not been relevant to the game since she dropped her 3rd album ‘Share My World’ in the mid nineties. She blew up majorly with the release of that ‘Family Affair’ joint but people didn’t seem to see that the album as a whole was straight up ass cheeks, as were all the albums she has released since.
Mary, c’mon girl. I’m a fan. I went to see your concert during the Love & Life Tour but you got to go. I would have had you during the ‘What’s The 411’ days but those vocal cords ain’t gonna stop that pussy getting saggy.
