Achievements and trophies take away from games, I’m about to go buy a new PS2, GameCube and fire up my old N64.
It seems like all people play games for these days is achievements lmao. Not really talking about you Talon in particular, I just have been reading a lot of gaming blogs and articles from gaming websites and editors, etc. and all these damn people talk about is “this game is good, easy achievements” lmao, that shit pisses me off.
is there a way to turn off your “achievement unlocked” indicator? it really distracts me from games..
Nah man, the achievement and trophy system is a genious way to keep coming back to old games. They keep you playing because you want to strive to get those achievements. Fair enough there are some games out there that do have easy as hell achievements and people mostly rent them out to increase their gamerscore quickly.
It’s like me now, i’ve been playing alot of Mortal Kombat 3 on the live arcade because i want to get the online achievements, but thats means i have to practice and learn the moves and combos because there are some beasts on there and the achievements give me that incentive to keep playing.
I’d be very disappointed if they took away this system now and is something they need to include in future consoles.
