We now have a release date of November for Gran Turismo 5 and after some quality time with it at the Sony E3 area I must say that I do plan to purchase it when it is released. The game was presented in small cockpits that featured the Logitech GT Wheels I reviewed a few months back. The graphics were much better than the time trial contest demo released a few months ago.
With the default driving setting I was able to drive pretty well. I was afraid that the game would be too much like a simulation game and would be too hard. Luckily those options are there before you start every race and you can choose how much assist you want. Gran Turismo 5 was also available for demo in 3D though the line was too long. I will try to play that version and report back in the next podcast. I was not disappointed at all. Gran Turismo 5 looked great, played great on the Logitech wheel and I am looking forward to the November release.
