Motorstorm Arctic Edge will be released this fall on the PSP and PS2 game consoles. I was able to play the PSP version at E3. Ok, actually I was on a mission to find the game because I am a big fan of Motorstorm Pacific Rift on Playstation 3. Rest assured that Arctic Edge does hold its own. The game does have that distinct Motorstorm look and feel while bringing new scenarios that should interest long time Motorstorm players in addition to those players that are new to Motorstorm.
The game contains new snow based tracks as well as the familiar dirt tracks. The newer snow tracks make way for avalanches which adds to the uniqueness of Pacific Rift when compared to its bigger siblings on Playstation 3. There are also snow based vehicles that are exclusive to the portable version and all the vehicles control, and boost as they should. Features include photo mode, custom soundtrack support, 8 player online, and vehicle customizations. Pretty much all the features you enjoy in the big console versions are present. Based on my time with the game at E3 Motorstorm Arctic Edge certainly gets two thumbs up and will be on my list of games to get though the release date has not yet been announced.
