If you want to put some emulators on your PS3 you can by taking advantage of the fact that the PS3 is very Linux friendly. In short, you can install NES, SNES, so yes you can play F-Zero on your PS3 if you have the following and so wish to do so. For the full detailed instructions check the link to Gizmodo below.
Requirements:
• Ubuntu 8.10 PS3 Install Disc Image
• Blank CD
• USB hard drive formated to FAT32 to backup your PS3 data
• USB keyboard and mouse (wireless if possible)
