all these sources suggest it is announced, they are all dated 15th april. today/yesterday (if ur going by clocks hitting 12 as a new day lol)
Nintendo TO announce new Wii HD console.
Nintendo have not come forth and OFFICIALLY announced anything about a new console and the sources state that E3 will be where it’s unveiled.

I never said I didn’t believe it. We’ve been saying on the podcast for months it was highly likely we would get an announcement for a new console this year.
I ain’t getting hyped for anything though until I see the specs and what they will do in terms of online capabilities and social interaction.Plus Nintendo will probably get on some bullshit and say that their games will only support upto 720p because it isn’t necessary for the gaming world to have 1080p graphics. Just like they thought it would be great to stay in standard def whilst Microsoft and Sony were ripping them a new asshole.
Like I say, I’m not getting hype coz I just expect Nintendo to try and sell us some bullshit theory about the new console like the one I stated above.

I’m sure in terms of graphics it will probably surpass the PS3. But I wouldn’t be surprised if they do what you said.

I don’t mean for casual gaming parties.
I’m talking about stuff like online voice chat etc, the kind of stuff we get on 360 and PS3. The Wii is far too isolated as an online gaming machine because there is practically no online social interaction.They need to get rid of friend codes and let people have whatever kind of Online ID they want.

but the wii isn’t for that.
the ps3 and 360 are for that.
if wii tries to compete, it loses it’s niche/usp/personality, however you want to put it.
Ye and that’s the whole reason the hardcore gamers got turned off from it, but that shit doesn’t even matter. This is an entirely new console and there is no saying it’s going to be called the Wii 2 so no point looking at it as if Nintendo are going to continue in that direction.
Leave it until E3 and we will see.
